The island of Xaxaba is protected by Illala Palms and the camp overlooks a surrounding lagoon fed by the tranquil waterways of the Delta.
Shaded by a canopy of indigenous trees, the private decks of Eagle Islands Camp's twelve reed and thatch twin bedded tents have expansive views of the lagoon.
The tent interiors are each beautifully appointed with an en suite bathroom, private fully stocked mini bar and comfortable four poster bed. For the light sleeper, mosquito netting and discreet air conditioning will ensure a peaceful rest in the wild.
Sundowners are served in the Fish Eagle Bar, renowned for its romantic setting, and meals are served outdoors. Other facilities at Eagle Island include a lounge, library and a swimming pool as well as a cosy fireplace and under-cover eating areas.

From April to October, the camp offers a choice of game viewing by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) or in motorised boats, combined with walks on the surrounding islands. In season, late afternoon romantic sundowner cruises are offered on the surrounding lagoon.
When water levels are low (December to April), morning, afternoon and evening game drives are offered - giving guests the opportunity to further explore the surrounding islands. For the more adventurous, safari walks are offered all year round, making this the final word within the arena of Botswana safari camps.
