Vumbura Plains Camp is part of a private concession to the north of Botswana's Okavango Delta. Here water channels encircle the islands in the Delta as the wetland graduates into mopane forests and finally arid acacia woodlands.
The raised rooms at Vumbura Plains Camp are built cleverly under the shady trees with walkways connecting them to the main guest areas and while Vumbura Plains Camp consists of two, seven roomed camps, each camp has its own inviting dining, lounge and bar area.
Each suite at Vumbura Plains Camp has a large and very comfortable bedroom, lounge, "sala" and en-suite facilities with a shower and flushing toilet.
The outdoor shower allows you to freshen up under the stars and with each room at Vumbura Plains Camp having its own plunge pool, there's always time for a quick dip!

The Vumbura Reserve offers both land and water activities in a park that has a wonderful variety of habitats and a great diversity of animals.
Open 4x4 Land Rovers allow close proximity to animals in the savannah and forested areas and the Vumbura area is also the only area in the Okavango where one can see Red Lechwe and a Sable antelope on the same game drive.
Add in lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah and buffalo along with all the plains animals and one has an excellent all round wildlife experience in a remote and private part of the Okavango.
