Xugana Camp

Xugana Island Lodge, Okavango Delta

Found on a private concession overlooking the gorgeous Xugana Lagoon, Xugana Island Lodge is known to be one of the most peaceful and relaxing safari lodges.

Sorry No Video Currently Exists
The eight reed and thatch rooms at Xugana Camp are very traditional and more than adequate with protective mosquito nets covering the beds and a simplistic en-suite bathroom.

Each suite has a little veranda where a morning cup of tea or afternoon read can be appreciated.

The lodge, accommodating a maximum of sixteen guests, is built on an island with water views on all sides and all meals are served outside under the shade of the trees.

Delicious food comprises of a mix of healthy cooling salads, hearty stews and casseroles.

It is all about water at Xugana Camp and so it goes without saying days are either spent gazing at the river, going on river safari's or paddling on dug-out canoes through the channels.

In the heat of the day, relax at the pool found in the rolling lawns at the back of the lodge and make sure to keep an eye out for the monkeys who love to borrow your towel!

To end off a day of adventure downtime is spent relaxing on the edge of the river watching the crocodiles while sipping cocktails and watching the sun go down - a magical experience!

Safari activities abound and you can choose between a river cruise, paddling a mokoro down the shallow channels, or an exciting walking safari
