The Great Migration
Each year the migration of wildebeest and zebra move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara in search of good grazing and water. This happens throughout the year so whenever you travel, we can make sure you are in the right place.
The spectacle of the Great Migration is something everyone should experience once in their lifetime. Witnessing the sheer muscle power of the wildebeest, the clouds of dust, and the predators that follow the herds is awe inspiring. All five of your senses will be assaulted in the most thrilling way. We can arrange for you to be in the front row.

| Serengeti Migration Lodges |
|
The Serengeti is such a vast park that it is vital to be at the right camp at the right time. It is seasonal, has diverse eco-systems with space for large herds of wildebeest, zebra and tourists! The tourist concentration is in the central regions where there is permanent water and good game. Lodges there are big and commercial. To avoid the crowds choose one of the mobile camps like Serengeti Under Canvas. A lovely camp is &Beyond Klein's Camp in the north corridor.

| Masai Mara Migration Lodges |
|
One can divide the Mara into 3 regions. The Confluence area is popular and busy from late July to Sept. Its better to stay at the smaller, flexible camps. The Governors area is famous for its location and big cats. We like Governors Il Moran and Governors camp. The Olare Orok area in the north west of the Mara has the least safari traffic. Elephant Pepper Camp is a good choice. NB: There are lots of camps in the Mara so be sure to plan well and choose lodges to avoid the crowds.
