Close to the camp are a few permanent pools in the Ntiakatiek River in which hippos wallow, and along the banks of which is situated the Porini Lion Camp. Porini Lion Camp sets itself apart by offering personal and intimate accommodation by offering only 6 tents, ensuring that staff of the camp is attentive of every need the guests may have.
Due to the limited size of Porini Lion Camp, guests are able to enjoy secluded and private space where they may relax and immerse themselves in the romance and essence of a real African wilderness safari camp.
All tents at Porini Lion Camp provide ample space, as well as private verandas along the length of the tent from which stunning vistas of the African wilderness may be savoured. All tents are also provided with the luxury of en suite bathrooms with electricity, hot and cold pressurised water, as well as flush toilets.
The Porini Lion Camp chef provides fresh, daily baked breads with excellent high quality meals which fuse together elements of continental and African influences. Guests are able to enjoy their meals as sit-down meals or picnic lunches under the cool glades of acacia trees.
The Porini Lion Camp specializes in arranging for guests full day wildlife watching and game driving safaris in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Magical sundowners at Porini Lion Camp's scenic viewing points, from where guests may enjoy a drink while watching the sun set over the Mara is an opportunity not to be missed, while authentic Maasai cultural visits may also be scheduled.
