| Lamu |
Lamu, north of Mombasa, is for people who enjoy a destination steeped in the tradition of bygone times and spiced with Swahili style. This is a relaxing beach vacation without hundreds of beach umbrellas and crowded surf. Lamu is relaxing and remote, the hotels tend to be luxurious getaways

| When to travel |
|
Mombasa's waters are warm year round, however during the rainy season it does get humid (and wet!). If you prefer to get away from the hoards, then travel out of school holiday times.

| Bush and Beach |
|
Mobasa is a three hour flight from the Masai Mara, making it the perfect Bush and Beach combination. Try to travel during the months of August to October to maximise your game viewing during the migration.
