Lake Malawi, Malawi
Lake Malawi is one of the Great Rift Valley lakes and forms the border between Malawi and Mozambique. It is the ninth largest lake in the world and is the third largest lake in Africa. Also known as Lake Nyassa, Lake Malawi is a major tourist attraction due to its magnificent warm, deep, blue waters and glorious mountain backdrop. As well as a tourist haven, many of the locals make their living from it, with the abundant aquatic life providing a fisherman’s dream.
