In the local Herero language, Onguma means, "the place you don't want to leave." That certainly rings true when you get to your large luxury tent. Each of the 7 tents has a bedroom area with views of the bush. An open plan bathroom made for romance completes the picture. Relaxing in the old-fashioned tin bath listening to the lions roar in the distance is what dreams are made of!
The classic safari tents at Onguma Tented Camp are softened by draping billowing white fabric above, creating the illusion of being in the clouds. This is definitely my favorite of the Etosha Camps. Onguma is luxurious without being pretentious. The tents are really fantastic and I like the modern element. And of course the game that walks right past your windows!
