Wolwedans Dunes Lodge is a combination of wooden structures, large canvas blinds and windows that open up to the desert beyond. Each of the nine spacious Wolwedans Chalets with en-suite bathrooms leads onto a private veranda and vast stretches of untouched sand. Sleep with your canvas blinds open and star gaze from your bed!
The main complex consists of two lounges and dining rooms, a number of sundowner decks and a library. Wolwedans also boasts a sparkling swimming pool which gets well used by guests, especially in the heat of summer.
Activities at Wolwedans are varied and can be tailored to your own needs. Accompanied by experienced guides, you are introduced to the many facets of NamibRand Nature Reserve's desert habitat on foot, by car, or from the air. The interpretive scenic drives in open Landrovers and nature walks with resident field guides, reveal the fascinating wonders of the desert - as do picnics in the wild, sundowners on the dunes and dinners by candlelight.
Spoil your partner with a morning ballooning excursion over the dunes. This is a splendid way of seeing the desert and gaining serious brownie points with your loved-one.
