With just six thatched suites discreetly located in an ancient bushveld valley, Lobengula Lodge offers tranquility, privacy and a luxury safari experience. All the suites are spacious with verandas that have uninterrupted views of the surrounding wilderness. All are air-conditioned with satellite TV and indoor and outdoor showers. The interiors have a tasteful ethnic African look and feel. Two of the five luxury suites have their own private plunge pools. The other three suites are situated alongside a large swimming pool. The sixth premier suite, aptly named the Chief Suite, has a large lounge and fireplace as well as a private pool - ideal for honeymooners or guests staying longer than just two nights.
The main lodge has a vast wooden deck and a sunken pool witha pool bar that has views over the dense Eastern Cape bushveld. There is internet access, a gift boutique and a small fitness centre. Relax and unwind at the Lobengula Spa where there is a sauna, steam room and two treatment rooms. A traditional boma area creates the perfect setting for sumptuous feasts and African storytelling sessions around an open fire under the southern hemisphere sky. Delicious African themed cuisine is accompanied by a selection of Capewines from the cellar as well as a Cuban cigar collection.
Game drives onto the pristine animal-rich Shamwari Game Reserve are hosted byexperienced rangers and trackers.
