Garden Route, South Africa
The name itself evokes the lush vegetation, indigenous forests and pristine beaches that the Garden Route is known for. An area between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, it boasts a beautiful coastline which stretches past towns of George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Golfers are spoilt with several championship courses to choose from.
There is so much to do on the Garden Route, you will need more than a one night stay. Spend a few days exploring the fairyland of the Tsitsikamma Forest and the Big Tree; marvel at the high river bridges or kayak on the lagoons and rivers. Many excellent restaurants and watering holes have spectacular sea, river or lagoon views. A favourite amongst South African families – we recommend this to be a part of your itinerary.
