The swimming pool is arguably the best game viewing spot in the summer months. With an uninterrupted view of the river and the rising bush beyond, it is not uncommon to spot an elephant or giraffe while doing backstroke!

I love the fact that at Lion Sands River Lodge there is always something happening! When you aren't on a game drive or a bush walk, there is a lecture on something pertaining to the wild- just remember the rooms at Lion Sands River Lodge are relatively small but are more than adequate.
