4 star Kariega Main Lodge is perfect for families and groups of friends. There are 21 air-conditioned log chalets with en-suite bedrooms and large viewing decks. Some have private pools. Each chalet has a lounge and dining area. Guests can enjoy drinks at the award winning pub and restaurant.
The 5-star River Lodge consists of 10 spacious air-conditioned, thatched luxury suites with private patios built on the banks of the beautiful Bushman's River amongst prolific birdlife and"Jurassic" vegetation. The lodge has quiet chill-areas ideal for curling up with a pair of binoculars. The river connects the game reserve to the sea and guests can take a ferry boat cruise to the quaint seaside village of Kenton-on-Sea and its lovely beaches.
The exclusive-use, private Homestead is a restored farmhouse set in a remote part of the reserve with 5 spacious bedrooms, bar, playroom for children and pool. A dedicated game ranger and chef assure that guests feel at home and are completely flexible.
All game drives, river cruises and nature walks are led by knowledgeable, personable guides. Other activities available are fishing, mountain biking and canoeing. Further afield guests can play golf, go to the beach at Kenton or visit historical Grahamstown.
