The nine luxurious tents of Shamwari’s Bayethe Lodge are hidden amongst the trees on the banks of a river just outside the Shamwari Reserve. The lodge is has an authentic bush feel and is perfect for the more adventurous safari-goer.
The rooms, private decks and private plunge pools look onto river where the game comes down to drink. The Bayethe tents are air-conditioned and the en suite bathrooms have the option of an outside shower. Shamwari Bayethe Lodge is my favorite of the Shamwari Lodges because it offers the most authentic bush experience. The rooms are tented which means that you can hear the lions roar and the frogs croak. Because the lodge is just outside the Shamwari reserve gates, you can do awesome bush walks!
