Minimalism has no place at Kurland and the hotel is lavishly decorated and filled with antiques and objects d’art. Twelve wonderfully spacious rooms have a fireplace, under floor heating and heated towel rails to keep guests warm in winter; and a ceiling fan to cool the room in summer. Bathrooms are indulgent and eight of the rooms have private plunge pools.
Kurland is superbly child friendly and ten of the rooms have loft bedrooms with toys and books ideal for children. There is also a play room and child minders to keep children entertained.
Green pastures and immaculate polo fields surround Kurland and create a wonderfully peaceful country setting. Recliners next to the swimming pool are a great place to spend the afternoon and a bar service serves light snacks. Delicious, wholesome breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served in the elegant dining room or in the courtyard.
Kurland’s health spa houses a well-equipped gym, sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi and offers various spa and beauty treatments.
There is much to do around Kurland and along the Garden Route: horse riding in the hills on one of Kurland’s polo ponies; walking through the forests; a morning on the beach nearby; whale watching; polo tournaments in season; or a game of golf on one of the Garden Route’s world-class courses. Bungy jumping, fly fishing, walking with elephant safaris and polo lessons are also options.

You couldn't move me away from the hotel, not even for a pizza in Plettenberg Bay - and that is saying a lot!! The spa with its sauna and steam room is open to guest. kids have a play room and are out having fun. This is rest and relaxation of the best kind.
