Rhino Post Camp, Greater Kruger Park accommodation
The twelve thousand hectares of private wilderness concession in which Rhino Post Camp is located in the Kruger National Park, lies adjacent to the Mala Mala Game Reserve and game viewing in the area is therefore excellent.
X-Factors of Rhino Post Camp
- Rhino and elephant tracking on walking safaris
- Diversity of game and birdlife in the Kruger National Park
- Views of the riverbed from romantic bathrooms
- Evening drinks under the Tamboti trees
Rhino Post Camp has been constructed on wooden stilts from natural materials and it blends harmoniously into the banks of the Mutlumuvi riverbed. The luxurious suites are charming and en suite bathrooms with outdoor showers and romantic ball-and-claw bath tubs have wonderful views. Private viewing decks are the perfect vantage point to contemplate the wildlife action in the riverbed.
Wooden walkways lead up to Rhino Post Camp’s main camp which is contemporary in style. African crafts provide character and interest to the lounge and glass-enclosed dining area and bar. Tamboti trees shade the wooden deck where guests unwind with a drink in the evenings, absorbing the sounds of the bush. There is also a swimming pool at Rhino Post Camp, which is a cool escape from hot summer days in the Kruger National Park.
Perhaps the biggest attraction of Rhino Post Camp is the enthralling walking safaris in the area, on which guests track rhino and elephant. Game viewing from 4x4’s is a more laid back option. The birdlife in the game reserve is prolific and the diversity of wildlife found here is astounding.
