Log fires, private viewing decks, Victorian baths and indoor and outdoor showers are some of the attractive features of Makweti’s individually decorated stone and thatch suites, which are tucked away in the trees and provide a serene escape.
The main lodge at Makweti Safari Lodge has been constructed from natural rock and African art and rich, contrasting textures provide character to the lodge. Expansive teak decks overlook the striking Makweti Gorge and are an idyllic spot for alfresco meals. Dinners around a blazing fire in the boma are served with choice South African wines from Makweti Safari Lodge’s cellar and are a memorable African experience.
Game viewing and birding in the Welgevonden Game Reserve is excellent and ranger , Wayne is highly experienced, knowledgeable and very entertaining
