Wake up to the sounds of beating drums and the roar of nearby lions. Dawn is breaking and you head to the Khoka Moya lounge for a hot cup of coffee and a rusk before heading out on your morning game drive.
Khoka Moya is amazingly child friendly and the kids pile onto the Land Rover, parents in tow, for a morning of spotting the Big Five. Your tracker, with his eagle eyes, can spot a lion cub at thirty paces and will keep the kids enthralled, teaching them about animal tracks and poo!
By the time you get back to the Khoka Moya lodge, it will be time for breakfast and some relaxation. Adult time is made possible by the rangers who play with the children and keep them well occupied while you laze at the pool. The children’s program includes a children’s activity centre, supervised by the camp staff where your kids can engage in a variety of activities such as beadwork, cookie making, drawing and reading.
After lunch another game drive in the Manyeleti awaits. By this stage the kids will be teaching you about the animals and trees! This time, you return to the lodge in the dark, using the bright spotlight to catch a glimpse of the nocturnal animals and enjoy the bright starry skies.
Dinner at Khoka Moya is a gourmet affair served in relaxed surroundings. Meals are served around a large log fire where everyone gathers for a night cap and rangers tell stories about their lives in the bush.
Khoka Moya offers luxury accommodation in exclusive tented-suites. The tents are large and can easily accommodate a family. The tents, comfortably furnished in a contemporary yet comfortable style, and have either twin or double beds made up with fine cotton sheets and down duvets. Each tent has a double shower and separate toilets. The private veranda in front of the tent provides a restful seating area for you to absorb the atmosphere in peace.
