Kirkmans Kamp is one of the oldest and best loved camps in the Sabi Sands. It retains the atmosphere and style of an authentic 1920s Transvaal Homestead. It has pride of place on a ridge overlooking the Sand River. The surrounding territory is famous for its excellent game viewing.

Each of the eighteen en-suite cottages has air-conditioning, a private veranda and is furnished in the same refreshing style. The colonial atmosphere of gracious style and luxury of Kirkmans Camp has been retained and now houses the Lodges sitting, bar and dining areas.

The marvellous lounge area boasts a 1920s charm and has double French doors leading onto green rolling lawns- proven to be a strong contrast to the surrounding bush scenario.

Breakfasts and light lunches are prepared and served on the protected patios while lavish dinners are enjoyed in the boma or peaceful glistening bush settings.

Game drives are enjoyed in the early morning and late afternoon when the animals are most likely to be seen. Your ranger and tracker will take you out on an open 4x4 so that you can get up close to the animals.

Camille and I visited Kirkmans together and both of us wanted to stay forever. Camille was out and about on game drives and bush walks while I lazed away in comfort waiting for the animals to come to me!
