Djuma Game Reserve is situated in the northern part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. This particular area is very rich in predators and you are practically guaranteed to see fantastic leopard sightings. And with most of the Sabi Sands lodges situated in the southern part, your safari at Djuma will be more exclusive and without lots of other people zooming past you.
During your stay at Djuma you will enjoy two informative game drives each day. Your morning game drive starts at dawn and the cool fresh air is just what you need to wake up properly. Soon you will be sitting watching an elephant taking a mud bath, or a lion cub playing in the long grass. In the late afternoon you go out on your evening safari drive. This is when you can spot the nocturnal animals such as aardvark or bush babies and learn about the constellations in the African sky.
The three lodges at Djuma Game Reserve are very different and there is something for evey occassion.
Djuma Vuyatela Lodge is the flagship of the Djuma lodges. The first thing that will strike you is the amazing use of colour and African artifacts. Vuyatela is an exclusive lodge that breaks the mould of the traditional safari lodge. Honeymooners and romantic travelers will love Vuyatela.
Djuma Bush Lodge is a high three star lodge still decorated in the traditional safari lodge way. The staff at Djuma Bush Lodge make you feel very at home and people tend to congregate at the bar and lounge and swap safari stories. Djuma Bush Lodge is a warm and welcoming lodge.
Djuma Galago is an exclusive use, self catering lodge. With 5 bedrooms, this lodge sleeps ten people. Guests bring their own food and drinks with them to the lodge. A private ranger is on hand for twice daily game drives into the bush, which is included in the price.
