West Coast, South Africa
The West Coast is a stretch of hauntingly beautiful coastline with plenty of fascinating attractions to explore. The West Coast is renowned for its friendly, peaceful atmosphere and is a great destination for locals and visitors alike to “get away from it all”. This is where you can learn to kite surf, fish with the locals or just soak up the flavour.
Once a year in Spring (around September depending on the rains), the area comes alive with a kaleidoscope of colours as an abundance of magnificent flowers present themselves in all their glory. The West Coast National Park is internationally renowned among ornithologists as this is one of the world's most important bird sanctuaries, providing a haven for some 256 species.
