Manicured lawns roll out to meet the fertile vineyards of Lanzerac Winery and ancient oak trees provide the manor house with shade. The forty-eight elegant, individually decorated rooms of Lanzerac Manor are well-appointed with air conditioning, under floor heating and heated towel rails. Views from the hotel rooms and private patios are of the vineyards, gardens and Stellenbosch mountains and an air of calm prevails.
Guests can dine at The Governors Hall restaurant from an a la carte menu; under the shade of the oaks trees at Lanzerac Terrace; or in the Lady Anne Courtyard. Light snacks are available in the cosy bar and lounges.
Lanzerac produce some excellent wines, well worth a visit to their tasting room. Other premium wine estates can be visited along the Stellenbosch wine route and the historic university town of Stellenbosch is not far from the hotel. The streets of Stellenbosch are lined with oak trees and sidewalk cafés bustle with students.
