Arusha
Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania. The Kilimanjaro International Airport with daily flights to Europe, is only 30 minutes from Arusha. Most people need to spend at least one night in Arusha and there is a massive number of hotels in all price brackets to choose from.
While not a massively exciting town, Arusha does have a superb market and is a good place to stock up on curios.
With only an hours drive to Mount Kilimanjaro, you may like to do a day tour on the mountain if you have some extra time to spare.
