Lunga River Lodge, Kafue National Park accommodation
Lunga River Lodge, at the heart of Zambia’s oldest park, Kafue National Park; is wonderfully remote and wild
X-Factors of Lunga River Lodge
- Remote African bush
- Excellent birding
- Canoeing safaris
The twelve remarkably luxurious thatched chalets of Lunga River Lodge are tucked into the riverine trees verging the Lunga River. Rooms are en suite and well-appointed. Guests congregate around the bar at the main lodge, which opens onto a sun-deck suspended over the river. A reference library provides much material on the fauna, flora and geography of Zambia and meals are served in the elevated dining room. A steam room and massage therapy at Lunga River Lodge are an unexpected luxury in the midst of the wild.
Daily game drives, walking safaris and canoeing on the Lunga River expose Kafue National Park’s abundant game and birdlife and if you are into fishing, there is much bream to be caught in the river.
