The Royal Livingstone, Livingstone accommodation
Sun International’s Royal Livingstone resort in Zambia, is fortuitously located within the World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls. The expanse and depth of the Victoria Falls are awe-inspiring, and rising above is the ‘Smoke that thunders’: rolling mist generated by the force of the plummeting water.
X-Factors of The Royal Livingstone
- Royal Livingstone’s colonial elegance
- High tea on the terrace
- Unlimited access to the Victoria Falls
- Variety of activities on offer
Built on the banks of the Zambezi, the décor of the Royal Livingstone Hotel evokes memories of a bygone era. High tea on the terrace, an abundance of roses (Zambia is one of the largest exporters of roses), cream linen and lots of silverware speak of colonial indulgence. Two story clusters of air conditioned, en suite rooms and suites trace the river bank, each with a private balcony from which to survey the wildlife activity on the banks of the river.
There is much to keep guests amused during their stay at the Royal Livingstone where facilities include a hair and beauty salon, casino and spa and sporting facilities. Visits to Victoria Falls, games drives and hiking are also on the list.
