Lower Zambezi, Zambia
The Lower Zambezi National Park on the Zambezi River in Zambia is home to one of Africa biggest elephant herds. Downstream from Lake Kariba, the Lower Zambezi National Park is Zambia’s newest park and is therefore still wild and relatively untouched. The Lower Zambezi runs the length of the Lower Zambezi valley where game concentrates along the famous Zambezi River. On the other side of the river lies the Mana Pools National Park so there is ample opportunity to view game as they come to drink. The Lower Zambezi National Park has a thriving population of predators and a diverse array of birdlife.
