Chindeni
The meandering Luangwa River leaves in its wake oxbow lagoons and it is alongside one of these lagoons, in the South Luangwa National Park that Chindeni is situated.
Take a short walk from neighbouring Chamilandu and Bilimungwe and come across the hidden treasure of Chindeni Camp! This Camp has become one of Luangwe's most superior bush getaways and definitely emphasises a world of seclusion.
Chindeni, positioned at the edge of a permanent oxbow lagoon in South Luangwa National Park is joined by the other bush camps run by the Bushcamp Company and is also Bilimungwe's sister camp.
Raised on wooden decks are four stylish luxury tents with queen sized four-poster beds, double vanities, polished floors and the private viewing decks overlook the tranquil lagoon and Nchendeni hills. For your convenience the tents have writing desks for when it's time to fill in your journal or choose to lounge on your deck chair and allow the scenic view to enlighten you with inspiration.
The camp can accommodate six guests comfortably and for those coming in a group more than six Chindeni will happily make room for two more!
Towering ebony trees shade Chindeni's open-air main dining area and bar, from which a walkway leads down to a lagoon-side deck: an ideal venue for alfresco meals in close, but safe proximity to wildlife activity.
Another means of viewing the abundant fauna and flora of the South Luangwa National Park is by guided day and night game drives and walking safaris. Go birdwatching with knowledgeable guides or opt for a camp-to-camp walk and enjoy meeting other guests from afar.
For keen game spotters, birdlovers and those looking to unwind, Chindeni Camp is the idyllic spot for you!
