CHICHELE PRESIDENTIAL LODGE

Chichele Presidential Lodge, South Luangwa accommodation

Chichele Presidential Lodge, once the residence of Zambian president Dr Kenneth Kaunda, provides a lavishly luxurious safari destination with breathtaking views over Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park.

X-Factors of Chichele Presidential Lodge

  • Luxurious, Victorian safari lodge
  • Breathtaking views over South Luangwa National Park
  • Prolific game and birdlife
  • Perfect choice for discerning travellers
  • Open 12 months of the year

Ten elegantly appointed Victorian-style lodges at Chichele Presidential Lodge are built into the hillside to maximise views of the South Luangwa Valley. The spacious en suite lodges are air conditioned for respite from Zambia’s high summer time temperatures. Service is of the highest order and mealtimes at Chichele Presidential Lodge are a very civilised affair in the dining room or alfresco. Port and cigars are served after dinner and can be enjoyed whilst standing around the boma fire. Under the guidance of Chichele’s experienced rangers, daily game drives and walking safaris through the South Luangwa National Park are highly rewarding and guests may come across lion, elephant, the endangered wild dog, buffalo and more. Night apes, leopard, hyena and other unusual characters might be picked up by the spotlight on your night drives.
