Family Safaris
Going on safari together as a family is one of life's great pleasures. Spend quality time in nature without the distractions of urban living. As Family Safari experts we realise how important it is to make the right accommodation choice according to your children's ages and interests and your family's traveling needs. Until recently, most safari lodges only accepted children of 12 years and older. Now, more and more safari lodges are family friendly.
But Malaria is an issue when considering a safari in Southern Africa. Children under 5 and pregnant women should not go to malaria areas. Rather choose from our recommended selection of malaria free safari lodges: - Eastern Cape Safari Lodges - Madikwe Safari Lodges
Getting the family dynamics and the room configuration right is important. Our guarantee is that we have personally visited the lodges we recommend for your family safari and can give you an itinerary tailored especially for your family.
Choosing the right lodge for your family's ages is essential. Children between the ages of 4 and 8 are often difficult to cater for . If you choose a lodge that doesn't allow children under 8 years on game drives, your kids will be bored. So for this age group specifically, you need to stay at a lodge which either allows children of 4 -8 on safari drives or has special kids game drives and in-lodge entertainment.
