THE LUANGWA ENCOUNTER

The Luangwa Encounter

Encounter untamed Africa during an enthralling nine-day walking safari through the pristine and remote South Luangwa National Park

The Luangwa Encounter X-Factors

  • 9 day walking safari to Mfuwe, Chamilandu, Chindeni and Bilimungwe bush camps
  • Walking safaris provide close encounters with the wildlife
  • Personable and highly knowledgeable guides
  • Night drives for tracking nocturnal animals
  • Luxurious tented accommodation

Follow in the footsteps of the great explorers on a nine-day walking safari in the South Luangwa National Park: a wildlife sanctuary characterized by floodplains, ox-bow lagoons and savannah.

Encounter big game, predators and exceptional birdlife on daily walks under the aegis of highly experienced, knowledgeable guides. Elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion, hyena, jackal and all sorts of antelope inhabit the South Luangwa National Park and the area is renowned for its large population of leopards, and the endemic Thornicroft’s giraffe and Cookson’s wildebeest. Bird watchers will have their binoculars glued to their eyes with an incredible four hundred species of birds to spot. Exciting night drives reveal an entirely different world as the spotlight picks up fascinating nocturnal creatures.

Overnight camps are unexpectedly luxurious and cleverly integrated into the bush environment. Dining under the stars with the call of the wild as the soundtrack is a unique African experience.
