TOUR INTINERARY AND TOUR FACTS
Day 1
Arrive into Windhoek International airport and pick up rental car. We will equip you with the necessary documentation, a regional guide and directions. Head north on the Take to the open desert road to Okonjima Bush Camp, home to the celebrated AfriCat wildlife rehabilitation centre and located on the edge of a wilderness area. On arrival you’ll be shown around and advised of the interesting activities on offer.

Day 2
Fill your day with a choice of activities such as tracking cheetah and leopard; visiting the cheetah project; guided birding and bushman trails. The AfriCat Foundation is a non-profit organisation committed to the long-term conservation of Namibia's large carnivores, especially cheetahs & leopards. It is a thrilling experience to get so close up to the big cats, and great for photography too.

Day 3
Leave Okonjima with a good feeling of having contributed to a respected and long-standing wildlife conservation project. Continue on deserted roads north to Onguma Tented Camp in the 20 000 hectare Onguma Private Nature Reserve, one of Namibia’s best kept secrets on the Eastern side of Etosha. Revel in the contrasts of the desert. Enjoy an explaratory game drive in the reserve and dinner around the before retiring to your private luxury tent.

Day 4
Spend the day on a game drive into the Etosha National Park. Revel in the contrast of this harsh environment that is host to a diversity of fragile eco-systems and fascinating plants, birds and animals. Return to camp to relax, sit on the edge of a rim flow pool, listen to the silence and then watch the animals slowly gather at the waterhole for the evening drink.

Day 5
In the local Herero language, Onguma means, "the place you don't want to leave! " Bid reluctant farewell to your hosts, and drive on out to Eagle Tented Camp situated on a rise south of Etosha with breathtaking views of the Epacha Game Reserve and distant mountains. Indulge at the Thermal Wellness centre and admire. The Epacha Private Game Reserve is home to the Black Rhino custodian programme and the endangered Sable antelope.

Day 6
Turn your car south and drive down to Mowani Mountain Camp in Damaraland near the fine historical Bushman engravings site of Twyfelfontein. Mowani is the ultimate retreat, set amongst massive granite boulders, with breathtaking views of the Damara landscape. Its impossible not to feel completely relaxed in this oasis environment.

Day 7
Excursions include visiting the 2 500 year old rock art sites at Twyfelfontein; nature drives; tracking the elusive desert elephants and hiking through magnificent scenery. The sense of exclusive remoteness is so wonderful that you’ll be forgiven for thinking you are the only people on the planet!

Day 8
Time to head for the beach! Drive on down to Swakopmund, situated on the coast and known for its friendly and adventurous culture. The Beach Lodge is the perfect base from which to explore the region either on your own, or under the guidance of local tour guides. Popular activities are quad bike excursions, dolphin viewing boat trips, geological and birding trips to Sandwich harbour.
