Day 1
Fly into Windhoek international airport and collect rental car. You will be equipped with documentation including a regional guide and directions. Take to the open road and drive to The Desert Homestead. Ideally arrive in time for an optional horseback ride into the sunset. Settle in for the night at this welcoming working homestead. The rugged landscape is juxtaposed by a sparkling pool, fresh farm cuisine and delightful Namibian hospitality.

Day 2
After an early breakfast (look out for the delicious homebaked rusks!), you could set off for nearby Sossulsvlei to view the highest sand dunes in the world and visit the famous dead vlei. A few more hours along the awe-inspiring desert road, and into the Namib Rand Private Nature Reserve, and you’ll find yourselves at the remote sanctuary of Wolwedans Dunes Lodge. Depart on afternoon nature drive and sundowners. Nestled amidst red dunes and set against a backdrop of unparalleled beauty, Wolwedans provides the perfect base from which to explore vast stretches of awe-inspiring nature and learn about an exciting variety of desert creatures.
Retire to your luxurious canvas tent – Sleeping with your canvas blinds open is as good as sleeping under the stars!
