TOUR INTINERARY AND TOUR FACTS
Day 1 - 3: Cape Town, The Constantia
Your tour guide awaits at Cape Town International airport to assist you with the rental of your hire car. Check into the gracious boutique hotel of The Constantia to settle in. In the afternoon, take the cable car up Table Mountain for snacks and sundowners with the most incredible views over Cape Town. Spend the next two days discovering Cape Town. Visit premium wine estates along the Constantia wine route and take a cultural tour of the city encompassing the District Six Museum, Robben Island and more.

Day 4 – 6: Overberg, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve
Take a scenic drive via the coastal route to Grootbos Nature Reserve in Gansbaai. Grootbos is a luxurious retreat situated in the midst of a milkwood forest, surround by vast expanses of fynbos. Over the next two days you will taste the superb cool-climate wines of Walker Bay, learn about fynbos, visit the coastal town of Hermanus, and hopefully see some excellent sightings of whales, frolicking in the bays (Jul-Oct).

Day 7 – 9: Stellenbosch, River Manor
Depart Hermanus, stopping for a wine tasting in Botrivier, en route to Stellenbosch. The gorgeous River Manor guesthouse, in the heart of the historic university town of Stellenbosch, will be your base for the next three nights. You will taste wine and go on cellar tours of a few renowned wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and stop off at the region’s superb restaurants (some of the finest in South Africa) en route.

Day 10 - 11: Paarl/Wellington, Bartholomeus Klip
Stay in the sumptuous farmhouse at Bartholomeus Klip, on a working wheat and sheep farm. This is a real gourmet hideaway and you will have some time to relax at the farmhouse, go hiking in the reserve, and even go on game drives. Day trips into the Paarl and Wellington areas will further expand your South African wine experience.

Day 12 – 13: Robertson Wine Region, Fraai Uitzicht
A picturesque drive through the Valley of Roses and Wine (Breede River Valley Region) will find you in Robertson at the arty Fraai Uitzicht, where your hosts are serious food and wine fundies and the meals are delicious. Here you will visit the last few wineries of your tour.

Day 14: Departure
Today marks the end of your wine meander and you will head back to Cape Town, where you will be dropped off at the airport for your return flight.
