Serene and remote, the camp is a peaceful santuary. The sound of birdsong gently rouses guests in the morning, urging them to take in the incredible African sunrise. A morning game drive begins the day’s adventures and experienced, qualified rangers impart a wealth of knowledge about the fauna and flora of the region. Red lechwe, wildebeest, buffalo, roan, oribi and puka roam the plains, and guests may be lucky enough to find pangolin and caracal. A high population of hippo cool themselves in the deep channels of the wetlands and – attracted by the wealth of antelope – predators such as lion, cheetah and wild dogs prowl the lands.
Activities such as walking safaris provide a close-up perspective of the plains and grasslands. Lunch is served on the plains and on their return to the camp, guests can find a quiet spot in the communal area to relax and unwind. Night drives offer excitement and a fascinating perspective of nocturnal life in the bush. At night, a lantern chandelier transforms the al fresco dining area into a magical wonderland.
