A luxurious tented camp nestled in the wilderness right on the banks of the Linyanti River, Duma Tau camp is a spectacular location for a truly memorable African safari experience. Built to exacting standards, the entire camp is raised off the ground, resulting in an optimal view of the river and the surrounding vegetation, which is also teeming with wildlife. The close proximity of the water also adds to the sensory experience of the African bush that is a golden thread at Duma Tau. Not only does the abundant birdlife in the lush foliage make themselves heard, but the sounds of hippos provide a daily delight for guests.

Ten spacious, comfortable en suite tents stretch along the lagoon bank and make for an enjoyable and relaxing stay at Duma Tau Camp. The camp also boasts a large dining room, lounge area and fire pit outside. In keeping with an eco-friendly consciousness, Duma Tau makes use of solar energy.

Situated in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve at the western border of Chobe National Park in northern Botswana, Duma Tau is within close proximity of the source of the Savuti Channel, which plays host to exuberant vegetation and diverse, abundant wildlife. Day and night game drives lead by knowledgeable guides offer exceptional opportunities to witness a variety of game and diverse birdlife, while guides can also lead visitors to explore the area on foot or on water. Predator sightings, including lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah are frequent, while various platforms and hides are located in the vicinity of the camp, spoiling guests with a variety of vantage points from which the myriad of animal and birdlife can be appreciated. One of these hides is situated at the source of the Savuti.

A true treat is kicking back on Duma Tau’s spacious deck that overlooks the river, especially since it’s not uncommon for elephants to move extremely close to the camp, providing guests with an up-close encounter with these majestic animals.
