Kati Kati mobile safari camp is ideally situated in the central region of the Serengeti National Park. Accommodation is offered in 10 comfortable en suite tents, complete with king-size or twin beds, and bathrooms fitted with showers, basins and flush toilets. Accommodation at Kati Kati is more affordable than many other tented camps in the region and the tents all offer expansive views of a nearby watering hole where zebras, elephants and gnus congregate in the mornings and evenings. Meals can be enjoyed inside the dining tent, or outside around the campfire and picnics are available by arrangement.
Daily game drives ensure that guests get up close and personal with the amazing variety of game in the central Serengeti region and, on your return, you’ll be welcomed back to camp with cold drinks and cool towels to refresh yourself after an exciting safari experience. In the evenings, guests gather around the campfire for appetizers and drinks, before sitting down to a gourmet dinner prepared by oh-so competent chefs, who guarantee rave reviews. Dinner is served at a communal table, adding to the wonderful campsite ambience.
After dinner, you’ll be escorted back to your tent where you can settle down to an evening of listening to the bush at night. Or, if you’re rather wary of the surrounding wild animals, you can request a tent close to the main central tent. Similarly, the more daring can opt for a tent further away – to be treated to amazing animal sightings in the early morning.
Kati Kati welcomes children and also offers a range of activities that are specifically geared for them. The central camp area also includes a library where you can select books to accompany a few lazy afternoons. There are also opportunities to visit a neighbouring Masai village, take a drive to the impressive Olduvai Gorge Museum and Grumeti River, or get up early and head out on a balloon safari, followed by a champagne breakfast.
What’s more, private breakfasts or cocktails in the bush can be arranged for those seeking the perfect romantic setting.
