Kulala Desert Lodge lies in the very heart of the Namib on over 46 000 acres of private property and bordering the Namib Naukluft Park. The main lodge has incorporated Northern Africa influences in its décor inspiration. The lodge comprises a large welcoming lounge, pub, dining area and rejuvenating plunge pool. The wrap-around verandah overlooks the waterhole, the perfect location to experience a tranquil desert sunset.
Accommodation in one of the 14 thatched and canvas chalets or “Kulalas” (Kulala means “to sleep”). The Kulala’s are set on wooden platforms to provide maximum airflow. Decorated with a simple elegance that complements the desert the Kulala’s are an unforgettable experience… All “Kulala’s” have en-suite bathrooms and showers. For the more daring or outdoor enthusiasts, mattresses can be moved to the rooftop platform where you can sleep under a dazzling canopy of desert stars.

There are three family kulalas – two family units being two separate rooms with separate entrances and en-suite bathrooms and a connecting deck. The remaining family kulala is a standard room with an extra bed and shared bathroom.
There are 20 standard kulalas which are made up of 17 twin bedded kulalas and three double bedded kulalas. There are four guide units which are much smaller than the standard units.
