Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in the vast wonderland that is Lake Nakuru National Park in Central Kenya. Only two hours drive from Nairobi, this national park offers some of the most exciting scenery and provides guests at Lake Nakuru Lodge with a truly African safari experience. The 165km Nairobi-Nakuru road offers majestic views of the Great Rift Valley and winds through a series of lakes, forests and the bustling town of Nakuru. The route offers equally remarkable sights for guests who use a charter aircraft for the 25-minute flight to the Lake Nakuru National Park airstrip.
The national park itself has achieved fame as an animal sanctuary, offering a safe haven to both black and white rhino as well as a huge variety of other animal, bird and plant life.
Lake Nakuru Lodge is renowned for its comfort and excellent service. With breathtaking views of the flamingo haven of Lake Nakuru it is an oasis of calm and serenity that prides itself on helping guests forget about the stress and strain of city life. The lodge is cleverly built to blend in with the surrounds and you can often see animals grazing right up close to the lodge.
The lodge has accommodation for up to 120 people in family rooms, deluxe cottages or suites. All the rooms have their own en suite bathrooms and private verandas that command incredible views.
Guest areas include the Mama Nikki bar, as well as the Rhino Paddock cocktail bar that overlooks the lake and the crystal clear swimming pool where guests can cool off after a day’s exciting adventuring.
There is plenty to see and do here. The nearby Acacia and Euphorbia Forest provide a cool haven for a variety of wildlife during the heat of the day and are an absolute must visit for guests staying at the lodge.
Don’t miss out on Cormorant corner and Pelican Point either. The Baharini Springs provide a magnificent picnic point and then, of course, in the middle of the park and never far from view is the 40 square kilometre sparkling lake.
