Here you can experience the lives of the Batwa Pygmies, and walk the Batwa Trail accompanied by Batwa Elders; an extraordinary opportunity to learn about the unique cultural heritage of the forest’s indigenous people. Whilst you walk through the forest, the Batwa will demonstrate their traditional hunting techniques and knowledge of medicinal plants. You will also visit the sacred Ngarama cave and enjoy the traditional music and dance of this rich and fading culture. You can also climb a volcano, go birding, track the rare golden monkeys, or just take in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Africa.

Day 6 - 7 Uganda : Bwindi Lodge

The Forest is home to 4 habituated gorilla families, as well as monkeys, chimpanzees and birds. Tracking gorillas in the so-called ‘impenetrable’ forest is a magical experience. Other activities include nature walks or a visit to the local school. You will also enjoy shopping for curios in the village. At this stunning eco-lodge with eight bandas, you can also spend the day on the terrace (which juts out into the forest) mesmerized by its exotic sounds, and watching primates and birds in the forest canopy.
