THE GORILLAS CERTAINLY WERE A HIGHLIGHT. ONE EVEN GOT “UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL” WITH ME!

Dear Liesl,

Our trip was absolutely fantastic. We so enjoyed every part of it. Your planning was amazing. Every experience was better than the one before. The gorillas certainly were a highlight–one even got “up close and personal” with me. Kuria Hills is one of the most beautiful camps I’ve ever seen with personalized service that topped everything else (and that’s really saying something as everywhere we stayed had phenomenal service).  The &Beyond camp at Ngorongoro Crater was spectacular as was Pioneer Camp in the Serengeti.  Zanzibar was a perfect way to end the trip, relaxing on the beach and doing a little souvenir shopping in Stone Town. Our only disappointment was that we did not have enough time in Nairobi. I would have liked to have gone to Karen Blixen’s house and the elephant orphanage and spent one more night at Giraffe Manor which was just beautiful and so fun eating breakfast with the giraffes.

We are already talking about returning to Africa next fall. We would like to return to Nairobi and then visit Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Madagascar. I’m told it’s never too early to plan an African adventure so let me know if you have any ideas about the above countries.

Thanks again for a perfect trip.

Renee
