A Big Five safari in the Sabi Sands plus fun and adventure at Victoria Falls

Hi Liesl,

We had the most amazing time on this trip and absolutely can’t wait to be able to make a return trip to Africa!!

We had such amazing rangers and trackers on safari who really customized the experience and taught us so much!  If you are able to request trackers and guides for future clients, we highly recommend Jaben and Solly at Ngala and JP and Ekcxon at Kirkmans.  Both of these reserves offered very different experiences but were both so lovely!  We were blown away by the hospitality and the way that we felt like family while we were on vacation.  Our time at Kirkman’s was probably the favorite of the trip (on a trip of so many amazing adventures).

We also really loved our time in Zambia.  Tongabezi and Sindabezi were such a welcome change of pace from the early mornings of safari!  They are both such beautiful properties and we loved the connection to the local school and village.  We were fortunate to have wonderful guides and butlers who really allowed to to experience the culture of the area.  It was nice to be a bit off the beaten path at this resort so we could really have quiet time away from all of the other vacationers.  We were easily able to do all of the activities that we wanted and became close with Godfrey, who took such great care of us.

We were able to do the Bungee Swing, the helicopter ride, a tour of the falls, and the Livingstone Island Lunch that allowed us to walk and swim up to the edge of the falls.

The meals at all of the locations were phenomenal and we were able to try so many new things including warthog, ostrich, kudu, and impala!

This whole trip was truly life changing!  Thank you for helping us organize it all – everything went very smoothly!  The only tricky part of the trip was self driving to the safari locations as we were expecting an automatic car, but only standard transmissions were available.  It was a rough start, but we figured it out!  I know that the directions came from &Beyond, but they were a bit hard to follow during the first 20 minutes or so out of Nelspruit as the roads are not too clearly marked, so that may be something to look at for the future.  However, this was all a part of an amazing adventure that I wish we could be a part of every day!  Thank you again!

Michelle and Owen
