On the banks of the Luangwa River, running through the vast and abundant South Luangwa National Park, Robin’s House is a truly special location for an exclusive and luxurious safari getaway. This two-bedroom house is a comfortable home in the wilderness, ideally suited to couples, friends or families. Nestled in the bush, naturally shaded under a lush canopy of trees with a breathtaking view of the river, Robin’s House is a cool, private oasis in the heart of wild Africa. The well-appointed rooms, one double and one triple, all boast en suite bathrooms, and the rooms allow the light and breeze from outside to flow through.
The spacious main area with its high thatched ceilings provides a comfortable area to relax and unwind, have a drink, and enjoy exquisite meals prepared by a skilled chef read – or to spend time with loved ones. There is also a lovely shaded deck and pool with gorgeous views of the river. In the evening, the day’s adventures can be recounted around a campfire on the riverbank under the spectacular African sky.
The South Luangwa National Park is hailed as one of the most impressive wildlife sanctuaries in Africa and plays host to a rich variety of game and hundreds of bird species. Elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, hippo, antelope and many more can be explored from Robin’s House in open 4×4 vehicles. One can also opt for the adventure of nature walks, lead by expert armed guides and a National Park scout, passionate to share the many unique wonders of the fauna and flora indigenous to the Park.
Conditions permitting during the Emerald Season (end December to April), the surrounding lagoons created by the Luangwa River can be explored by boat, providing an even more opportunity for superb game and bird watching. Memorable cultural tours to a local village, schools and markets not only give a greater impression of Africa as a whole, but give visitors the special chance to support the local community and find rare Zambian souvenirs.
Robin’s House aims to cater to the unique needs of their guests, welcoming families with children of any age.
