Singita Sabora Tented Camp has the kind of magic that you can’t quite put your finger on – but you know it’s there. Perhaps it’s the location in the heart of the Serengeti, or the antique pieces and artefacts spread around the luxurious camp, the exquisite cuisine prepared with passion, or that ‘Out-of-Africa’ romantic appeal. The result of all these ingredients is the unforgettable Singita Sabora – the ultimate tented safari camp. Guests are treated to an experience of a lifetime as they interact with wildebeest, zebra, hundreds of birds and other wild creatures in the camp area, between game drives across parts of the 350,000 acres wilderness.

The 1920’s-feel luxury tented camp is situated on the migratory path which sees more than a million wildebeest making their annual pilgrimage. The explorer’s style camp has been beautifully curated, with handpicked furniture, accent pieces and artefacts all coming together to create a sense of opulence, warmth and history. There are nine one bedroom lodges, all beautifully decorated with draped linens, cottons, soothing tones, Victorian baths and all the little luxuries that make Singita so special. The Bush Spa offers healing treatments, with skincare treatments, through to revitalizing massages, body scrubs, thermal therapy, and detoxification. Horse-riding enthusiasts will love The Equestrian Centre, which boasts daily outrides on the plains of the Serengeti on 18 horses. Guests will never lack for activities at Singita, which also boasts a pool, children’s activities (including archery and star-gazing), a tennis court, guided safari walks – and even shopping! Game drives take guests deep into the Serengeti Plaines, where trained guides will track wild animals including bat-eared fox, cheetah, black rhino, Maasai giraffe, elephant, lion, buffalo, the Colobus monkey and zebra.

Dining takes place all around the camp and out in the wilderness. Brunches are spread out al fresco style and enjoyed along with the twittering of birds – and zebras seeking shade under the umbrellas! Lunches are served picnic style on the game drive, or enjoyed back at the camp. At night, lanterns are lit and shooting stars flit across the perfect skies as guests regale their safari stories from the day, over a sumptuous meal.
