Allowing guests to experience the mesmerizing vista of the Serengeti plains, each chalet also has an en suite bathroom with a delightful standalone bathtub and an al fresco shower. The suites have hardwood floors and tasteful soft furnishings giving one a warm sense of African design, while also offering Wi-Fi and satellite TV for those that wish to stay in touch with the rest of the world. Large windows and individual private viewing decks ensure that you can enjoy the views even after your day’s game drive is over.
The main area of the lodge is linked to the chalets by raised wooden walkways. The emphasis is on relaxation and game viewing with several armchair covered decks from which to enjoy uninterrupted views of Musabi, stretching 300 feet below. The lounge and dining areas are warm and welcoming, the latter of which serving delicious meals. However, it is the wonderful waterfall backed infinity rock pool overlooking the game rich plains that sets the Serengeti Soroi apart from other lodges.
The great migration that happens twice a year is understandably the big draw to the lodge; however, even between these times the park offers arguably some of the best game viewing and experiences in Africa. Guests are invited on game drives throughout the day, starting at sunrise and returning at dusk. For a truly memorable experience they can enjoy a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti plains for a bird’s eye view of this truly captivating landscape.
