Set against the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the world famous Amboseli Safari Park in south-east Kenya. Nestled in a groove of acacia trees, the lodge is positioned near one of the only bodies of water in this beautiful but arid park, attracting vast numbers of wildlife that come to wallow in the emerald green swamps. The backdrop of Africa’s tallest peak – which is also the tallest free standing mountain in the world – is magnificent and provides guests at the lodge with the most memorable sunsets imaginable.

Made up of 96 rooms, each inspired by the local Maasai people, the lodge features traditional African décor and rustic furniture hand-crafted from local wood that is a part of the lodge’s plant-a-tree conservation programme. The primary colours and iconic shapes used throughout reflect the legendary warriors of the Maasai and provide the lodge with an attractive and comfortable atmosphere.

The central dining area at the lodge is reached by a wooden bridge over a stream. The lounge and bar feature a terrace and hearty fire-pit where guests can enjoy evening cocktails while catching up on the day’s activities. There is also a swimming pool, Wi-fi and babysitting services upon request.

There are plenty of adventures to be had at Amboseli Safari Park. Guests are invited to take game drives in specially designed game drive vehicles. Because the lodge is positioned on vast, flat plains there is a very good chance of you spotting some of Africa’s most famous game, such as lion, zebra, wildebeest, rhino and elephant, as well as a huge number of bird species.

Guests can also take guided bush walks and bird walks as well as enjoy cultural visits into the nearby Maasai villages, take part in the lodge’s tree-planting programmes, sundowners on the ancient site of Observation Hill, experience Maasai dancing performances and enjoy bush dinners outside under the endless African sky.
