Visiting Rwanda is as much about its local people as it is about the wildlife, and Bisate lies within a friendly rural area which allows visitors ample opportunities of meeting its local people. The lodge has planted over 15 000 trees as part of their reforestation project, as well as rehabilitation projects to conserve the iconic and gravely endangered mountain gorilla.
