Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge is a luxury lodge in the Gonarezhou National Park, a pristine little known wilderness gem in Zimbabwe best suited for experienced safari travellers. Enjoy game drives and walks, and incredible bird watching. There are strong ties between the lodge and the park’s neighbouring local communities. There is also a seasonal tented camp for an ‘old Africa’ camping experience.
Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge offers two levels of accommodation – the first is an all-inclusive luxury lodge and the second is a self-catering option at the Nhambo Camp.
The luxury rooms sleep, two guests. A family room option also available. These rooms are all en-suite with plush, tasteful furnishings, private balcony and sitting area offering incredible views over the gorge.
The self-catering chalets at Nhambo Camp all sleep 2 guests, while the family chalet can accommodate up to 6 people. Each individual lodge is en-suite with its own balcony. There is a shared kitchen, dining area, braai place and plunge pool for guests to utilize.
The communal area at Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge is an elegant space to relax and spend time with friends, family and other guests. There is a comfortable lounge, library and dining room where meals are served 3 times a day. The lodge also has a shaded swimming pool where guests can cool off and escape the African heat. Gonarezhou National Park is known for its large elephant population and is part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park which spans across South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe – including the Kruger National Park.
