Etosha Mountain Lodge is in the Etosha Heights Private Reserve on the southwest border of Etosha National Park in Namibia. This area is world-famous as a sanctuary of many species, including big cats, elephant and rhino. The flat, wide-open landscape provides superb views and game viewing opportunities. Etosha Mountain Lodge is perfect for families and small groups wanting a comfortable yet authentic African safari experience.
The lodge is made up of 9 thatched chalets grouped around a central ‘lapa’. All structures are built from wood, stone and thatch in a classic Namibian style. All rooms are comfortably furnished and include spacious en-suite bathrooms with a large indoor bath and shower. The 2-bedroom family suite includes a deck with a private plunge pool.
The communal area at Etosha Mountain Lodge is a thatched ‘lapa’ with open sides, where guests can relax in cosy armchairs, or cool off in the swimming pool – all while taking in vast 180º views of the arid landscape and waterhole in front of the lodge.
Meals are served in the restaurant, either indoors or on the wooden deck. In addition, guests can enjoy a picnic in remote areas of the bush for a truly unforgettable experience.
Etosha is renowned as a pristine wilderness and supports a variety of game – including the endangered white and black rhino. Guests can explore the area on 4×4 game drives, and see big cats (lion, leopard and cheetah), elephants, kudu, springbok and many more. Morning, afternoon and evening game drives are offered as well as nature walks.
The small size of this lodge combined with access to the private reserve ensures that Etosha Mountain Lodge delivers an exclusive, personal safari experience.
