Jack’s Camp is set in a vast private game reserve alongside Botswana’s Makgadikgadi Pans. It has always been one of Africa’s most loved and unique luxury camps and has now undergone a total refurbishment to make it out of this world! Carefully sourced furnishings and fascinating antiquities and make Jack’s Camp a very special place. As do walks with Bushmen, meeting the meerkats, quad biking and horse riding and seeing the zebra migration.
The seven twin and three double Bedouin guest tents have been enlarged and draped in old-world glamour with exquisite textiles from all over the world. They boast wood-burning stoves, private verandas with plunge pools, outdoor showers, and inspirational historical knick-knacks.
A new, larger mess tent is filled with antique furnishings and memoirs from days gone by, including a classic pool table, fully-stocked drinks chest and a library. The tea tent is resplendent with new soft furnishings, as is the pool pavilion, which also has a new sun deck.
A dedicated spa tent has been added and the curio shop has been restocked with new fascinations.
The game viewing is amazing! With brown hyena, bat-eared fox, springbok, oryx, honey badgers, aardvark, jackals, elephant, cheetah and black-maned lions among the scores of animals to be seen. This is one of the few places on earth where you can expect to see the rare and endangered brown hyena. Between January and April, about 50 000 zebra and wildebeest migrate across these lands.
