Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is positioned between the foot hills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. It is an area of wide open plains and low lying scrub, perfect for game viewing. This camp on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River is the ideal location for those magical moments with the animals. Unforgettable wildlife viewing and a fantastic array of activities are on offer with the added benefit that your stay is not marred by other vehicles. If you’ve always wanted to go on a real safari, then this is the camp with the style and ambiance for you.
Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is a traditional, simple, very comfortable tented bush camp on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, and is the home of owner-managers Alex and Diana Hunter. Accommodation at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is in 6 tents with twin or double beds, accommodating a total of 12 guests. There is also 1 family tent taking up to 4 people.
For a small additional fee the camp can also be booked exclusively for a family or group of 4 or more. Further temporary tents can also be added for larger groups if necessary. The tents are furnished with comfy beds with thick duvets and hot water bottles for the cool nights, re-chargeable solar lights and en suite toilets. Washstands on the tent verandah and safari bucket showers are brought on request at any time of day. Although the tents are simple in their design there is no compromise to your comfort.
Fresh bread is made daily in the traditional charcoal safari oven and a wide variety of salads, meat and vegetarian food in camp and for bush breakfasts and picnics. The food is all fresh and there is nothing to beat dining Al Fresco in the middle of the African bush.
And in the evenings, after you have enjoyed a superb meal and an evening round the camp fire admiring a dazzling display of stars from your tent, you will hear lions roar and leopards grunting.
What better way to end the day in the African bush?
